Can you put fondant or buttercream on a rum cake. I have a bride who would like a rum cake for her tiered cake. I have never done one before.
I would cover it with almond paste and then buttercream icing.
I've done a couple with BC.Had a tasting last week and the bride luv'd rum cake with banana filling. Sounded gross to me until hubby said "Banana Daiquiri". I've made them with apricot-pineapple filling and one with chocolate fudge filling.
