How Long Can You Leave Fondant Out?

I make Collette Peters Fondant.
I am not sure once you make it how long it will last wrapped up and setting in an air tight container.
If anyone knows could you please share....

I've questioned that before and the general consensus seems to be 3 months for any type of fondant.

I forgot that Satin Ice and other pre-made fondant probably has a longer shelf life!
