The day I found CC, I saw the warning at the top of the page, and thought, yeh, whatever.....OK, I get it now! Total addict, and getting worse daily!

OMG!!! I was thinking the same thing about the warning on the home page, I would've never figured it would get this serious icon_redface.gif . I just love this site and the sad part is that I have no one on the outside that can relate to my obsession to cake. My kids think I'm crazy & friends don't understand the addiction to cake & Cake Central so honestly you guys are like my only cake family. So from me to you, THANKS for being here !!!!!!!

I am laughing out loud trying not to wake the household.

This topic caught my attention because that's exactly what my husband calls it, "Crack Central". He calls me Cakie and says things like, "You're addicted. You're obsessed. You'd swear you're looking at cake porn. Step away from the computer."

I am SO addicted. They monitor our web use at work so I've had to resort to an underhanded method of accessing the internet outside of the company firewall.

Man, I hope Big Brother isn't reading this!

I'm sitting here laughing and in complete agreement with all of the above! Except for the part where no one can relate to me. My hubby totally gets it. Crazy, huh? Not really...he is big time into cycling - much like my caking - and months ago I gave him such a hard time about constantly being on the cycling forum. At first I didn't understand, but since I found CC...I TOTALLY get it! And so does he icon_biggrin.gif Thank goodness!!!

Not too long ago my husband was addicted to a barbecue forum. (Mmm...I'm totally addicted to his barbecue). Having "kicked the habit" he is now a reformed forum addict. Rather than support my addicition he feels the need to remind me how I gave him such a hard time. I just tell him to leave me alone, that it's my turn!!! icon_lol.gif

You know that commercial where the guy is sleeping and his fingers are busy texting and using his cell phone and such?

That is my excuse. Its not me here. Its just my fingers.

Same here, definately addicted. I stay at home with the kids, but I think thats even worse. I should be cleaning something I'm sure, but I'll do it later. Well that's what I keep telling myself. I have 30 minutes till DH gets home, so I have to make the most of it right.......

You know I am reading all of your comments and nodding my head in agreement. Our power was out for a couple of hours earlier today and my first thought was "How am I going to survive the evening without Cake Central?! I even have my daughter and granddaughters checking it out!

We leave for vacation next week and I have put in a request at work for a Verizon air card for my laptop. That means I'll have Internet access anywhere that I can get a cell phone signal! So, while hubby's driving I can get my CC fix!

Of course, my request was based on my need to monitor my work emails while I'm away. That's MY story and I'm stickin' to it! icon_razz.gif

Hello All,
First time poster, long time lurker here. I had to jump in and say this thread is too funny. I thought there was something wrong with me because I can't stay away. This site is awesome or as my niece would say "off the chain". The amount of information here is endless, everytime I come here I bookmark about ten different links.

I'm a decorating newbie and took the first 3 wilton classes about 3 yrs ago, but had to give up decorating when summer came along because my frosting couldn't hold up in my non-central AC house. Then one day a few months ago I stumbled in here and never left, guess I didn't realize how much I missed decorating. I'd rather bake and decorate a cake than fix DH's dinner...how sad is that? I can't wait until the weather cools so I can go play again.

Thank you everyone for being so generous with your talents. icon_biggrin.gif
Sorry for the long post.
