This is my first attempt at RI, I used the powder color flow, sugar & water to make the icing. I washed everything before hand in hot soapy water with vinegar in the water too. It hasn't been raining here. I outlined in black let that dry and then filled in. I read in another post someone wrote the 'good' side is facing up, not against the paper, is this right, if so then I did it wrong and maybe that is my problem. I wish I had made these earlier because my daughters party is this Saturday and there is not enough time to make more. I just don't understand where I went wrong, has anyone ever had this problem?

I can't see the image (get a message about the file not existing any more), so I can't tell you for sure what you are doing wrong. However, yes, the good side of color flow/RI transfers is the top, rather than the bottom. The bottom definitely gets pretty funky looking. If you use parchment, the outline often lifts a little in spots, and the flowed in RI gets under it.

Thanks for your help Redpanda!
I made a FBCT of dora this morning, I am very happy with how it came out. Now what I'm wondering is how soon can I put the fbct on top of the cake? I am icing the entire cake in buttercream too.
Can I do it as soon as I get the cake iced or do I need to wait till closer to the party? I guess I am worried that once it thaws that the colors might bleed together after a while. I covered the bottom of the bct in white which is the same as the cake.
This is only my 2nd time making a FBCT and I don't remember what I did last time it was almost 2 years ago. I really had a fun time making the fbct too, alot easier than royal icing.
