How do you do the top of a gift box and do use cake for the top or something else and how do you keep it open? I also have trouble with making the lid top corners sharp.

If you scroll down the brilliant Sharon(SugarShack) has instructions on having sharp edges on box cakes. I'll be trying this method on my upcoming gift box cakes.
