do you have dummies or cake pans you could stack to get an idea of which sizes to use?
keep in mind that the diagonal of a square is much longer than the sides, for example a 10" square has a diagonal over 14" so if you put that on a 14" round you will have the corners hanging over the edge.
try this
Bottom tier 14" round 78 srv
middle tier 8" square 32 srv
top tier 6" square 18 srv
total 118 srv
to calcutlate the diagonal of a square multiply the length by the square root of 2.
Usually you see squares on the bottom with rounds on top. what about this
bottom tier 14" square 98 srv.
mddle tier 10" round 38 srv
top tier 6" round 12 srv.
total 148 srv.
Does she want a stacked cake with a round cake base then a square cake on top?
I also stack pans or dummies after I have selected sizes for a mixed shaped cake just to be sure it all fits well!
you can try searching through the Other / Mixed Shaped Wedding Cake galleries...you may find a cake with a similar setup there.
