I'm going to make a cake very similar to this one (http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_1176251.html) and I'm wondering how I can do the ears. I was thinking of melting candy chocolate and adding black food coloring (to dark chocolate), but not sure how to mold it.
Any ideas on how to make a mold for the ears?
Other ideas? I'd hate to have to try and make gum paste black like that.

you can use the chocolate fondant as a base to get black and then make the ears from that.
I did a cake similiar like that.
I just cut out four circles, but a two thin wires between two and ta-da - you have ears! Oh, obviously, give them enough time to dry.
