How Do I Make Gold Buttercream?

I have a cake to make next week. They want the company logo on it and it has a gold star. How do I make buttercream gold?

According to Scott Clark Woolley before the days of Luster Dust he created this King Tut cake using lots and lots of yellow food coloring.

I would suggest using a gold luster dust and painting the star. Just make a paint using clear vanilla and the dust, then paint with a paintbrush. I have painted bc before, and if you are careful it should be fine.
