I am about to begin a journey into the dark world of petits fours - I would love any tips, recipies, flavor combinations etc. that any of you may be willing to share. There is not much in the recipie section but I am sure with all the experienced people who are here, there are lots of things I could learn! Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there, I haven't done petits fours. But here is a link to a fellow cc members blog, on how to make the petits fours.

Thanks bashini - that website is very helpful. I am also looking for the multi layer petits fours - somewhere???? I saw a 3 layer (tiny little layers) recipie that had apricot jelly - anyone know anything about that?

Any cake flavor and any jam works. Just torte the cakes or bake in small layers. Layer, ice the top, and freeze the whole block. Cut while frozen and refreeze. Pull them out a couple at a time to dip in warm fondant with a toothpick then place on an elevated glazing rack to drip and set (put toothpick thru hole, grip with other hand, and pull free). Super easy this way.
