Choc Cupcakes Dry!!help!!

I've made 3 different recipes of choc cupcakes and they all are dry. The recipes called for 350 degrees 15-20 mins-I cooked them for 15 and they were really dry. Do you all have suggestions for adding something to the batter to make them more moist. The cc were made with butter-so can I add like tbsp of oil?? Thank you all!
