I just ran out of my LorAnn Creme Bouquet (which I love) and found out they no longer make it ![]()
So, my choices are CK brand or Magic Line brand Creme Bouquet.
Anyone have any comments on either of those? I have heard that some Creme Bouquet flavors are better than others.
Thanks.
I use the Magic Line brand of CB. I've heard the CK line tastes more "chemically".
I use the Magic Line brand also and it tastes great in cakes and frosting.
I have the CK brand, and I really love it. When people taste it they say it has a taste of lite citrus. I use it with butter flavoring and vanilla flavoring.
I use it, but I get mine at my local cake supplier. They bottle it themselves, so I don't know if they are using another brand or not. I'm going to ask them.
I like this flavor.
I just recently used the CK brand for the first time in the WVSC...3 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp CB. It was wonderful. I was afraid to use too much because I had never used it before. I wasn't crazy about the almond in the WASC. Never used the other brand, but I also received the Princess Cake&Cookie emulsion from LorAnn and it smell very similiar to the CK Creme Bouquet.
I bought creme bouquet (kitchen krafts) and tried it in both buttercream and fondant and do not like it at all. I now use it for french toast. I do like the princess cake and cookie emulsion. It does smell similar to the creme bouquet but I think they bake up to taste much different from one another.
