Hi!

I'm new in the cake business. I bake cakes for my family and they loved it. However, I have just tried regular cake recipes that I found here and there. I wanted to try a cake with a filling in it. I was wondering if any of you have a winning cake / filling recipe that is a must to try.

Also feel free to share your favorite cakes and filling recipes.

Collette Perters Chocolate Cake and Dorie Greenspan's Chocolate Malted Buttercream and Chocolate Pastry Cream. I use Ghiardelli's darkest chocolate in the cake and the pastry cream.

Ameretto chocolate cake with Amaretto chocolate icing and filling. It is wonderful.

Lemon cake with raspberry filling, or my current favorite, french vanilla with pineapple-coconut filling.

Dark chocolate with raspberry whipped cream filling.
Malted chocolate cake with raspberry dark chocolate ganache.
White chocolate cke with pineapple whipped cream filling.
Lemon poppyseed cake with chocolate ganache.
