I am attempting to make my first sc covered in rolled b/c. I had someone ask me to make 3 dozen flower cookies and 3 dozen heart cookies for her daughter's sleep over soon. Since I have never made these I told her let's do a tasting first and then if we both agree I would. She wants the flowers covered in rolled butter cream and the hearts decorated with buttercream and sprinkles designs. I have never done any of these. So one of my questions is do you put some buttercream on them then cover with r/b/c. ? And also I haven't priced them yet, so do you think 2.00 a cookie is too much?

that might be too sweet to do the bc and the rbc.......I would either brush the cookies with a little bit of corn syrup and then attatch the rolled bc or else you can put it on right when they come out of the oven and it will kinda melt onto the cookie .......just make sure you let the cookies sit and don't touch them until it stiffens up again it will leave finger dents and prints all over the cookies........how big are the cookies......I think a dollar an inch is usually a fair price for basic decorated cookies.....oh also.......I've only covered cookies in fondant not rolled buttercream so I don't know how it reacts to heat....so try the straight out of the oven method on one or two cookies first to make sure it doesn't ruin the rolled bc......when I do it with MMF it works PERFECTLLY

Here are the links to my finished products. I haven't bagged them yet for testing but they will be in idividual bags tied with a swiss dot red and white bow for the cookies on a stick and I have red, yellow and pink heart designs chinese take out boxes for the cookies to be put in. Hopefully this Lady will like them. They were fun to do. Thaks for the help guys.

I think your cookies came out great icon_biggrin.gif

Cookies are going to be my next project. Problem is my husband will only eat cookies that are soft.

My Hubby is the same way. So I made my nfsc soft but thick enough to be firm and hold up.
