Hi there.. Im really not very good at all this stuff but decided to try make a gumpaste shoe.. so.. so far ive mixed it up and its resting for 15 mins like the instructions say.. my question is.. to colour it.. i dont have any of the paste colourings,, will liquid work? or i have the powder colours... if i mixed the powder with water and added it would that work?
sorry for the questions i hve just never used gumpaste before really have no clue lol!!

Just use the powder as is, don't add any liquid.
When adding the powdered colors, do it in small amounts so that you won't have a cloud of color flying around you and color only a little more than what you think you will need.
Putting some shortening on your hands will keep the color from staining your skin as much as well as soften the gumpaste. The powdered color will absorb some of the moisture, but like kakedecorator said, use just the powder, no water.
