I have a set of cake pans that have a removable bottom. Well I seem to have misplaced the bottom for the smallest cake pan! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do so that I can still use the pan? I need to bake a cake that size tomorrow and am nowhere near any stores that would sell one! Any ideas? Thanks!
I use this when I make cheesecakes in pans with the removable bottoms:
cut a cake board to fit the pan, cover it well with foil and insert in pan. Grease and flour as usual, 325 degree oven and bake as usual.
