Stacked Book Cakes

I am needing to do a graduation cake for this Thursday. I would really like to try to do a stacked book cake, would this be possible to do in buttercream with only fondant accents? Thanks!!!

I just did a book cake, but not stacked, really, in only buttercream. Mine doesn't look great because I was a) rushed, and b) it was hot and humid, which cream cheese buttercream does NOT like. icon_razz.gif But yup, it's possible. icon_smile.gif

Like the pic, you did a good job, I think you can do it, with fondant and BC. Do you have an idea of what kind of books? How many books? With opened or closed? Get your design on paper and that will get you started. I just designed a cake for a 25th Anniversary. I drew it out then used my computer to put it on paper.
