What is the best way to ship decorated cookies without the cookies getting damaged. My friend works for UPS and he told me every package gets thrown around even if it is labeled "FRAGILE"?
How can you prevent the cookies from being damaged by heat and humidity changes while in shipment?

Arrange your cookies between layers of cardboard and bubble wrap or foam. Box that up, then put that box inside another box that's filled with styrofoam peanuts or some other fill, so the cookie box is completely surrounded. This way, the outer box will absorb any shock or abuse.
If you're concerned about temp or humidity, use overnight shipping. I, personally, think cookies are pretty resilient against such things if they're wrapped well.
the most important thing to remember when shipping anything fragile......glass, cakes, cookies, etc. is to make sure you pack them so that when you shake the box really good that NOTHING shifts around......you shouldn't be able to hear any jiggling.....I always double box my baked goods for shipping like was said above......I put them in a box that they all JUST fit into layered with crumbled paper or bubblewrap and then put that box inside of a larger box surrounded by packing peanuts or more crumbled paper making sure that neither box has any noise when shaken!!
