Is 1/2 inch foam board (from Hobby Lobby) strong enough to hold a full sheet cake?

Has anyone used this for a full sheet cake?

I've never used Foamcore board for a sheet cake, but 1/2" should be plenty. 3/8" should work as well but again never used it for a sheet cake.

I always foamcora board for my cakes, they are strong, you can put dowels easily into them, and they are easy to decorate.
