Hello everyone!!!! I have been requested to make my cousin's B-day cake for this weekend in a beach theme!!! I have browsed through the galleries and have seen ton of cakes have the free standing palm trees. Can anyone help give me some directions on these......are they on dowel rods? Are they or the fondant attached to the rod with piping gel??? Any advice would be very greatly appreciated!!!! Please I was only asked as her regular decorator was booked.........I want to do a really good cake!!!! Thanks!!

This may not be what you're looking for, but I made a dinosaur cake with palm trees. I used pretzel rods and cut out 2 pieces of green fondant with a daisy cutter and layered them alternately on top. (I hope I'm making sense) I just used BC to attatch them.
