I am not a real experienced cake decorator and as I rule I only use fondant for accents. I have been asked to make a Big Ben cake for a friends birthday. I can not do a sculpture. Don't have that kind of talent.
I was wondering how to depict Big Ben in a simpler fashion, perhaps on a flat cake. I know there are people from England on this board. Maybe some of you would have made or seen a Big Ben cake. TIA for any and all help.

if you are interested in doing something flat, I think I would try a chocolate transfer. it's really easy and I'm sure you could find a ton of pictures online and use one as a template. i did a chocolate transfer and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. check my pics, the asian cake has two transfers, the fan and the japanese writing part.
