My mom has always had a double oven...I missed it terribly when I lived in an apartment with just one!
Disadvantages - usually more narrow than a conventional oven, so check the sizes carefully. If you're doing a lot of sheet cakes or large cakes, this may be problematic.
Advantages - TWO not one but TWO ovens....around the holidays especially it's a lifesaver.
