Hi!
How far ahead can you make marshmallow fondant icing? How far ahead could you make a marshmallow fondant baby blanket for a
baby shower cake? The baby shower is on a saturday, would you wait until
saturday or do any of it ahead of time. Thank you for any help on this.

You can make the MMF a week or more ahead if you want. Just make sure it is tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and then placed in an airtight cantainer, like tupperware. Just micro it a few seconds and knead it a bit before you use it.

If you make the blanket ahead, it will dry out a bit. If you want the blanket to be soft, then make it and then wrap it well. It should stay soft. A day ahead should be ok.

I've made Rhonda's MMF (recipe from this site) several times and I always try to make it ahead of time so that it can "set up". Just wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in a zip lock bag (removing as much air as possible from the zip lock bag). It keeps for quite a long time. Hope this helps.
