Gee I don't think I will ever get good enough to do a cake like that! I love it. It had to take days to do though. Don't you think?

I can only imagine the mess my kitchen would be if I tried to do a cake like that!

It's beautiful. It almost looks like it's moving.

How much would I charge?
That is a $1000 plus cake if I ever saw one.

I don't understand this. For some reason on several posts with a photo included I am not seeing the pictutre, just a little white box with a red X. If I click on it to enlarge I get a message that the file no longer exists.

I'm with HollyPJ...it's hard to tell how many servings it would be (probably not relevant anyway, it's a piece of art!) but if I were pricing it by serving I'd say $10/serving. And no, I don't think I could pull it off. icon_smile.gif

That is a wonderful cake site and thank you for posting the link because I can't see the photo in your post either. That is a great whimsy cake, I am impressed with the petal shaped tier, knowing how difficult just the tapered and slanted tiers were to cover in fondant I can't imagine attempting this one.

Are on his web site, it said most speciality cakes are $6 a slice. I agree with the $10 a slice that everyone has said here. I wouldn't doubt it for that one.

So cool! Big dollars for this one. You know it looks to me like it's done in buttercream. Maybe I'm wrong but I think that would be even trickier than fondant in some ways. How to get it smooth with all those uneven edges. Anyway, either way fondant or buttercream it is spectacular!
