Baking In Regular Home Oven....how Many Racks?

my oven has the standard 2 racks...can you bake on both at the same time or will it mess up the baking process with the cakes?

I only use one rack when I'm baking at home. Unless you have a convection oven the air flow gets messed up when you use both racks.

Yeah why not? I do it all the time, just a regular oven.

I bake on both racks. Just remeber to switch your cakes from top to bottom rack about half way through.

It's that switching part that I don't like. When I'm baking cakes in my regular oven, it's middle rack, one at a time.

don't you risk collapsing your cakes opening up your oven and moving them around?

Mine never fall. I switch from top to bottom, and turn. I do this after about 15 mins in the oven.
