I have been searching for a wedding cake design idea that uses a musical score on 1 or more of the tiers. The groom (my son) is a composer and would like to use a section of a favorite score in part of the design. Either that or incorporate music notes/staff but in a little bit more sophisticated way than if you were designing for a child's birthday cake. I did not find anything in the "search" section . The music cakes seem to be mostly instruments. I did not find any chocolate transfers with music scores. Has anyone seen any? Perhaps someone might be able to direct me to look more specifically or if anyone has any design thoughts, I would be so appreciative. Thanks for any help!!

Hi Catherine -- Wilton tip #134 makes the lines for a musical score. You could add the actual notes with tip #1 or #2 to make the score (perhaps around the sides of the tiers). I have made musical notation out of chocolate, as well.

Just to add, I'm making a cake like an open trombone case this weekend. I took some music to Wal-Mart and had it made into an edible image. I'm going to lay the music on the case.
My son is a trombone performance major and I'm making the cake for the reception after his Jr. Recital.
