I want to try the chocolate truffle filling, and it calls for 1 pkg. vanilla sugar (Dr. Oetker). What is this, and what quantity is it?
Thanks for your help!
Here's what the product looks like:
(Can be found in international or foreign foods section.)

If you read the product description, the vanilla sugar equals 1-2 tsp. of vanilla, so if it's hard to find you might just want to add vanilla extract.

Thanks JanH I had that same question on a recipe I will be trying soon.
I have a cake recipe that calls for this also. I really like this product. If you have a World Market near you, they carry it.
I do have a World Market near my house and I will be picking it up tomorrow. Thanks for the tip AnythingSugar!
