Hi, Im new to all this but would like some advice please.
Im making a cake for a 30th birthday which is Saturday.
they have requested a movie themed cake, and want the cake as a film reel with a clapperboard on top.
Question is what on earth do i make the clapperboard from?
Have bought sugarpaste and modelling paste, ive had a trial run without much success, think i might have to leave it longer to dry more though.
Also, how do i make it stand on top of the cake when it is finished?
Sorry for all the questions but im running out of time ![]()
Thanks in advance
Jo
make flat modeling paste and let dry until hard (can speed the process is a barely warm oven)
BEFORE drying it tho' --- embed two or three skewers in to that stick out like legs (like sticks on a lollipop). when dry, just push the skewers down into the cake.
Make it from gumpaste.. it will dry quicker and harder. ![]()
