My sister will be visiting us in May. She likes the Entenmen (sp) chocolate cake that has a layer of marshmallow under the chocolate icing. I was thinking of making her a chocolate cake with ganache icing on top and the marshmallow creme buttercream as filling. How does this sound. Anyone make it? My usual chocolate cake is ganache iced and filled with raspberry filling on top of the ganache in the center - that is what everyone I bake for requests. But this sounds ok - no?!
Never made it; but it sounds delicious to me!
Oh yeah.
I have however, made the easy & tasty cream cheese filling:
(and it WAS very tasty...made with marshmallow fluff.)

Oh that sounds good!
So does your filling Jan, I have added that recipe to my "filling" folder Thanks!
may i ask what marshmallow fluff is?
a gooey, very!, concoction that tastes like marshmallows but is soft and spreadable like a very thick mayonnaise
often used in states to make a "fluffernutter"....aka
a peanut butter sandwich that substitutes fluff for jam or jelly
