I am sure there was a thread on this in the past, but may be gone...I was wondering if anyone has advice on putting ribbon on buttercream. Will be doing my cousin's wedding cake and she wants buttercream with the bottom ribbon border. I have only ever done this on fondant.
Thanks!

If the BC hasn't crusted, it will just stick on. If it has or you are using fondant just attach it with a dot of BC or royal in the back. If you are worried about it absorbing grease, just hose it down with Pam first, then it won't get splotchy at least. The other methods to keep it actually out are not fool proof and a lot more time consuming.
