I made a cake for my friend (the scooby cake) in exchange for home decorating (she's a decorator) when I move. I chose well, because everytime I see her she's telling someone about my cake and how great it was. Anyway, I went to a 'party' at her house tonight and she told the consultant that I do cakes and her friend was there (who's kid was at the first party) and she wants me to do her daughter's cake for next week! YAY! So it's my first 'official' order. I also gave a girl a quote for her wedding several weeks ago, I also quoted her prices for her 'dessert buffet'. She called today and said they decided I was too expensive for cake but that she was interested in my dessert services. YAY!
