Sugar Shack Series On Public Television...
Decorating By travelingcakeplate Updated 17 Apr 2008 , 1:09pm by sugarshack
OK, I finally got my DVD and think that Mrs. Zambito needs a cake decorating series. Her camera presence was quite easy going and down to earth. Beyond that, her techniques are practical and definetly doable without spending your life savings in supplies.
It would be nice to see a series with her as host as she actually demonstrates and educates hobbists on how to achieve certain techniques. Her show would be so much better than the Wilton show/infomercial, "Bake. Decorate. Celebrate."
Let's encourage her to pursue it.
I agree. I have the buttercream DVD and I love it. I am ready to order the rest.

I totally agree
I got my fondant dvd the other day and love it
I cant wait to have the time to try out some of her techniques
Maybe we should coerce her into doing a demo tape and send it to pbs
That would be great. Or even the local public tv stations because they purchase content.
I agree I was jumping on to see when she was on. I agree we need to get her to get a show. I know her techniques have changed the way I decorate and they are really easy to incorporate and she shows how to do a whole cake.
PBS nothin'... There has GOT to be somebody from Food Network trolling these pages... Get the DVD's and watch natural screen presence. Seriously, she is just that sweet and funny in person, and it just naturally comes through on camera. Our star...SugarShack!

i must be needing to order something around here all that awesome praise... where and how much??
I think she should submit a tape to FoodNetwork. There are not any shows(Foodnetwork) for cake people. I would love a show like that. That Wilton show would be ok (to me) if they would do away with that lady that ask questions and talks about what the other lady is doing. I don't watch it anymore.
I too jumped on the post to see what network she would be featured on. OMG it would be sweeet to have her on a show.

You need to order the buttercream & fondant... I can't wait to get my stacking DVD!!! I'm sure that it will be just as good as both the buttercream and fondant ones are!
I totally agree, I think she needs her own Food Network show on cakes-n-stuff!!! I have both her DVD's and I'm waiting for Mr. Postman to bring me my successful stacking DVD!!!!
Oh and her kitchen is awesome too!!!
Had to jump in here for a little laugh....
Sugarshack and Antonia74 are real people who jump on CC all the time even when they are decorating! (They just seem to be a couple I think of). We can ask them questions and get answers. I've asked Helen many questions! And she answers me! So I crack up when someone posts questions 'about' them when we can all ask them directly.
Please don't think I'm making fun of anyone here, I just think it's funny that we just don't 'go to the source'. And I'm sure they are reading this as well and laughing!
