Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!
Anyone have ideas for a Gothic Sweet Sixteen cake? I'm not talking totally gothic, like chains and studs and things like that. The cake is for this Sat-13th serfing 40 people. I can make a 2 tier round cake or a 2 layered 16x11 cake.

Well, when I think of Goth I think of Black. They sell black fondant at your cake or craft stores. You could cover your cake in black fondant. As far as decorations you could put pearls on the cake then black or white lace around the cake board. Hhhmmm.....well, that is a good theme that makes you think huh?

I was going to make a cake for my friends DD. She was into the gothic phase but was kind of getting out of it. So I didn't go that way. That is a hard one. I don't have kids that are into it just what I see on the street. And Black clothes and white painted faces. With the chains and gauged earings. Is there something that she really likes about the goth that you can kind of focus on?? Is the party for her and her friends or family?? That is where my decision on what to do would be based. For friends you could go more extreme. For family more simple. Good luck
