Can you cover a cake with chocolate clay/chocolate plastic. I thought I saw on Sugar Rush a while ago a cake designer that covered her cakes with chocolate plastic. I would love to do that instead of fondant if possible. Thanks for the help.

I've done it. If I'm doing a cake that's on the larger side, I mix the modeling chocolate with some fondant to increase the elasticity so that I don't tear or crack it when I'm picking it up.
