I'm making a castle cake for one of my best friends son's 1st birthday. I'm wondering how do you get the block imprint on fondant? Is there a special press thingy I could get and where could I get it?
the only way i know how to make an impression in fondant, is you use the impression mat, and then go over it with a cutting wheel. that way you can make the indention deeper so it stands out better.
HTH!
I made a castle cake last year and didn't have an impression mat. I just used a straightedge and a paring knife. http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=79337
