I'm starting Course 3 tomorrow night and don't know what to bring. Course 2 ended in November and we weren't given a list of what we need to bring for Course 3 icon_surprised.gif
I felt like a fool when I started Course 2 because when I registered they told me to only bring my kit. So I show up and everyone (I took 1 at another Michaels) had buttercream icing and everything with them. I had nothing icon_cry.gif So I had to buy the canned frosting at the store.
So my DH registered me and asked for a list of supplies and what do they say "Just bring the kit"...yeah right!!

Anyone know everything I need to bring??

TIA

OMG, I wrote this EXACT post just last week!!!!
I went to another Michaels and obtained the syllabus and basically you bring the kit and frostings. I am STILL battling with Michaels since they can't get ahold of the teacher (she didn't show up the first night!) (I'm taking it at a different Michaels than my Wilton I & II) but my recommendation is to CALL the store and DEMAND the teacher contact you with what to bring. My teacher told the store to bring nothing also, but the syllabus says to bring a ton of stuff. I also called another Michaels and they also said to bring stuff in according to the syllabus.
For lesson I: 4 airtight containers, holding 1 recipe of Class Buttercream icing as listed:
1/2 cup thin consistency icing
1-1/2 cups medium consistency icing
1/2 cup medium consistency icing with 1/4 tsp. piping gel added
1/2 cup stiff consistency icing

For complete class:
class registration receipt, pen, scissors, toothpicks, wax paper, pink or rose icing colors, 2 couplers, small spatula, 1 (24 oz.) box of rolled fondant, white vegetable shortening, student kit, note pad, transparent tape, damp cloth, practice board, decorator brushes, parchment triangles, 2 featherweight decorating bags, 3 small plastic food storage bags, measuring spoons, and tips 3, 16, 104, 1, 2, 5

Hope this helps! I ended up calling Corporate Michaels and they also got the run around from this store. Ugh! Good luck with Wilton 3. I may never get to take it!
