Frustrated With Colors Fading!!!! ....help?

I have made some animals ahead of time, and now the pink pig and purple sheep are faded. A LOT!! It's only been 3 days! I have to make other things in those colors and I don't want them to fade to. Any advice as to how to get these done and not to fade? I put them in a dark cupboard and it didn't seem to matter.
HELP!
by the way, they are made of MMF/gumpaste.

That is the nature of pinks and purples. Chefmaster makes No-fade pink and No-fade purple paste colors that work pretty well.

I've had some success making purple by mixing red and blue rather than using purple gel/paste.

I didn't even think of that....brilliant! Maybe that will work for the red too? Just a dab should do it I think. I will see how it goes.
