If You Use Bbq Skewers For Cookie Sticks And/or Ship Bouquet

If you use the skewers instead of sticks, are they strong enough to hold the cookie? The ones I have aren't very thick and I'm wondering if they'll hold up, also if you ship your bouquets, how much do you charge for shipping? TIA!
they're not THAT great for larger cookies but for small ones they work perfectly...I find they get darker when baked with the cookies so I put skewers in right when they come out of the oven...but the lollipop sticks I bake WITH the cookies. I have shipped cookies in a bouquet.....but they were gifts so I didn't charge anything......but I would probably just reflect the EXACT shipping charge for each bouquet.....because shipping will vary for EACH bouquet
I've used skewers for awhile now and I have to agree with KHalstead. They aren't that great for larger cookies (I had to use two in a huge computer cookie that I did). But they are sturdy enough for regular sized ones. When I ship bouquets, I charge exactly what the shipping charges are. I usually ship USPS, unless customer wants something else, and the boxes are usually under 4 pounds so I use their online print & ship to figure out the cost before I charge the customer.
Ditto on the skewers! Also, on a side note about them, I usually cut off the pointed end. I am afraid someone will poke themselves with it while eating the cookie. Occasionally I will leave it on and make sure it goes in the styrofoam and not in the cookie but usually I just chop it off.
