Here is my dilemma.... I have made an 8" square cake, and the sides are decorated with a printable image of "real tree" camouflage. The cake is for a deer hunter! I made a deer out of chocolate to place on top of the cake. I need a border to cover the seams on the top and on the corners of the cake. I wanted to use orange cause deer hunters use orange, but I don't want it to look like it came from a bakery. HELP> I was thinking of piping naked trees for the corners, but then what for the top edge? C'mon ladies I know y'all can help me, and any help would be appreciated the cake is due this afternoon.
Would clouds be appropriate for what you are trying to do? Do you have "sky"? If so, would shell border in the same color as the sky work? Just some things that came to mind. Hard to say without actually seeing the cake.
Hope you find the idea you are looking for!!
**Edited to say - Oops, sorry! I forgot you were looking for orange ideas. I was just thinking about the tree idea and you asking about the top corner.
I cannot think of anything orange, other than a shell border. I think these are always appropriate for man, woman, or child.
what about making out of chocolate clay or I guess you could pipe with chocolate icing.....some tree branches.....you know like sticks overlapping eachother all along the border?? Might kinda look like deer antlers too......but I think it would look pretty manly and kinda cool
I think I am definitely gonna do the overlapping branches for the top border and the corners of the cake! Thanks for that one. I am thinking of the grass for the bottom border now ( Thanks for that one too!), and I will do the writing in orange. I knew I could count on my CC members to help me! Thanks Ladies!
