Smbc Help!!! - Looks Like Pancake Batter:(

Hi
I usally use the very vanilla smbc from this site with no problems.
1-1/4 cups egg whites
2-1/2 cups sugar
5 sticks of butter
Well today i decided to double the recipe, which means i used
2-1/2 cups egg whites
5 cups sugar
10 sticks of butter
For some reason it wont come together. It just looks like pancake batter.
Is there any way for me to salvage this? I would have to waste so many eggs and butter
i saw online at dyanne bakes that the ratio should be
1 part eggs
2 parts sugar
3 parts butter
it seems that my butter amount was off.
i added some more butter to try to balance the ratio and it helped a little and tickened up a little bit but it is still too soft. i put it in the fridge and will check it again tomorrow.
