Hello all. I just signed up for the Wilton's course one class begining this week, YIPPY!! I was wondering I found someone on ebay selling the books and kits together. Course one $16 Course 2 $22 Course 3 $24 would this be a money saver on my part? I did see the kits in the stores but I was browsing the old post and saw someone mention that they give you the book on night one. Should I just find the kits on ebay or buy them in the store? Or do I buy the books and the kits together on ebay or in the store? Thanks for the help!

they do give you the book at your first class...
i bought my kits with my 40% off coupons from Michael's and it ended up being a pretty good savings. Make sure to check the amount for shipping from the ebay seller. Sometimes that can make a pretty big difference.

Forget the ebay.
Find a coupon.
You do get the book with the class.
Shipping will jack up the price and some of the stuff may not be there unless it's brand new. Also, the kits are updated all the time.

I"d forget ebay on this one. Most times, if you buy the kit at the store, the class is free, or some other deal like that. YOu do get the book at the first class.

I concur--that's the same price the kits are in the store, anyway--not a deal at all.

At Michaels the kits are $19.99 for C1, and $24.99 for C2 and C3. I believe the new Fondant and Gumpaste Kit is $29.99 but don't quote me on that one. Unless you get really, really cheap shipping from E-bay it really isn't worth it.

Michaels does give you the book the first night of class free.

When I took my course 1, I bought the humungo cake decorators kit. it has all the kits and the books into one big book. I was able to use the 40% off coupon and so for all the supplies and more, it was like, what now... $75?

I enjoyed having the caddy to haul back and forth to class and not having to deal with bags of other stuff. Plus, I know I wanted to do more than just Course 1 (which Ihaven't done YET!!!!) and was going to be doing a wedding cross country, so I definitely needed organization.
