Hello I saved this cake photo and for the life of me I don't know who the creator is ... I know they are a CC member ...
I was just curious on how you did the bows !!! They are gorgeous ... more like a bowtie versus a regular bow. Did you make a template or was a cookie cutter used. How did you get them to look so perfect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!
TIA
It looks to me as if it's a mold. You may want to look in Global Sugar Art under JEM cutters then click on molds. Other than that, I don't know who is the creator of that beautiful cake. You could go into the profiles and maybe you could p.m. her. HTH
Ok I think I will take a look !!!
Thank you so much ![]()
It does just look like a rectangular strip that you would just pinch the center in to make the folds and bow shape. We did them in one of my classes and would sometimes wrap an extra piece of fondant around the middle if you wanted to make it look more like a knot.
I agree with mbh724 -- this was done by SugarShack. I was just on her website & CC pics page and it was there!
I think we all went a lookn at the same time...Great cake though...good luck with your bows...now you have me wanting to go to the kitchen and roll out some fondant....
See that's what I was thinking. To make a template and cut a rectangle ... sounds good to me !!! I think I will also double check with sugarshack !!! Thank you for your help guys ... much appreciated !!! ![]()
