My uncle's favorite is spice cake with penuche icing. I have recipes for both (thanks to this website!).

I haven't made either in over 40 years! I was just a kid when I last did.

Now that I've gotten into this cake decorating phase, does anyone know if penuche icing lends itself to decorating?

I don't remember it being pipeable, that's for sure! Should I just apply it as cake icing and decorate some with buttercream?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheryl

I did a search and it looks as though you use it just as a frosting. I have never used it but hopefully someone else can help.
