Hi Ev1
Newbie here from the UK
I've tried to make a shoe from Flower paste (gum paste) but as I work fairly slow, I'm having a lot of problems lol
Do you think mixing flower paste with fondant( sorry not sure of US name for uk fondant) would be alright to make a shoe with?
At the moment my rubbish bin is almost full with my decorating mistakes lol.
I've also been making sponge cakes all night! and I'm not happy with any of them.
I think this new very addicitve hobby of mine is going to take over my life lol
Maybe I need to see a sugarcraft therapist icon_eek.gif

I've seen many people use the 50/50 method of gum paste and fondant or rolled butter cream for many things like bows and other decorations too. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The shoe in my photos is made with a mix of fondant & gumpaste if you want to take a look. It's more fondant then gumpaste (it just takes a little longer to dry). HTH

Thank you 2sdae.
I've just mixed two lumps together. It seems to have blended ok. I also added some colouring. If the shoe works out I'll post a picture in the Gallery.
This is the best fun I've had in years!
lol

I use half fondant and half gumpaste. More pliable than gumpaste alone. Does not dry as quick as gumpaste.
