I know a lot of people question on what to put into their cake layers for structure, either straws, dowels or pillars.
I went to a popcorn factory and discovered the sticks used to make candy apples the best! They have 2 different kinds (plastic and wooden) (in packages and very cheap) with a very sharp tip on the wooden ones and a tip but flattened on the plastic and are very sturdy!
