I am using the Wilton 3D Ball Pan to make a Baby Einstein Caterpillar Cake. After making the first batch, though, I realize it's really large (one cake mix fills the two pans). I don't have any round stainless steel bowls like I know others have used. If I take a cake mix recipe and divide it b/w 3 cake pans instead of just two, will that work to make a shorter cake? Will it cook ok that way?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, that would work just keep a close eye on the cakes because of course the cook time will be shorter.
