I want to make some chocolate covered cherries for a show I will be going to next weekend (Saturday). How early can I make these? How long will they last? Leave them out or refrigerate? Please help with any advise you might have! TIA!

I make mine at least a week before I need them. This allows the inside to get syrup-y. I keep mine in the fridge.

Has anyone made chocolate covered cherries using fresh cherries instead of marachino cherries?

I have never heard of anyone doing this, but I would bet that black cherries done this way would be an absolute Yum! Anyone?
