How about apple sauce? Its used frequently as a low fat alternative to oil in baking. I wouldn't use olive oil. The taste would probably carry over.
DEFINITELY do not use the olive oil.
I've made that mistake before. It DOES affect the taste of your sweet stuff. ![]()
Applesauce is good. I've used melted butter, too, in place of oil. My cake came out pretty darn flat (Don't know if that's WHY or not) but it tasted good!
