how many people do you need it to feed?
what type of icing? BC or fondant?
For the basic shape I would just start stacking square cakes (make sure you put dowels and boards every 4" of cake or your cake won't have any support) Stack as high as needed then carve the top layer or two.
Not sure exactly what kind of information you're looking for to build it. Is there anything else you need to know?
