I have 3 different size gem rose cutters....but I wanna know how big do you make the cone (base) .... is it the size of one of the petals?

#2 question..... Do you usually color your fondant or just use chalk on them?

#3 question.... Do you usually let the cone (base) dry overnight before doing the petals?

Thank you icon_smile.gif

It depends on what size rose you want to make. I would start with the medium size cutter (if you have it) and make my cone to fit within that size. If you have single petal cutters, use the medium sized one.

It's your preference as to coloring. You can leave it white and pedal dust or color the fondant and still petal dust. Picture some roses you've seen or look at pics on the web to get an idea of how you'd like to color them.

Definitely let the buds dry overnight. Two days is even better, but not really necessary. I hope this helps you.

I'm no expert, but if there's anything I can help with, pm me.
