cupcakes
Thanks, we had a lot of warning on this one, I think that is one reason there weren't more injuries.
Footy Franks - a brand of hot dogs here in Oz
Honeydukes I loved the Thornbirds book not so much the movie though, hey and I'm thrilled to have American friends too. If you want to bamboozle your friend with Aussie stuff just let me know .
Glad you're OK VJ we saw houses that looked like matchsticks due to the tornadoes on the news tonight.
Gatorade
Thanks, Sparklepop. This is our season for the stormy weather (although we get it all year round to a certain extent) and I think people tend to take the warnings too lightly, but when it starts looking bad here I start making my "safe place" ready for me and my kitty, Pepper.
infant formula...I vote we start skipping I, there just aren't many foods or products to use. What do you all think?
puffy tacos
Thanks, Sparklepop, I will keep that in mind! I'll have to snag you some long-stemmed cherries for your mice!

Neenish Tarts
Okay, I Googled Neenish Tarts and I found three recipes that I thought I could handle. They're a bit different -- one is more of a cookie and the others tarts. The last links btw, have pictures of lovely (and yummy) looking pastries! Do you think one recipe is more "authentic" than the others? I'd love to make these for my friend.
Or Chrissy450! Howdy! You're over there -- or should I say "under?" Do any of these look like they'd work?
Oopsy -- here they are!!

Wasabi
Hey there Honeydukes, i don think we got your links.
Anyway as for which one is more 'authentic' i would'nt really know i guess it comes to personal preference. The neenish tarts ive made i just had tart cases as my base, and it was easy, quick and worked well.
Almonds
Yeah now i see, they were all good recipes, i guess its what u'd prefer. I had a recipe similar to the second one, and did that one as i thought it'd be easier for time, but all seem good. GL with making them
Butterscotch Meringue Slice (made it today yummo)
Honeydukes I agree with Chrissy450 on the 2nd it sounds more like what we get here . Its much easier to buy it at the bakers though
